Iran is not a member of the Apostille Convention, therefore US documents to be used in the Iran must be legalized by the Iranian Interests Section of the Pakistani Embassy. Depending on the type of document, obtaining a certified copy or a notarization is the necessary first step. The process continues with authentication at County and State level and the legalization is finally completed by the Iranian Interests Section.
